Join Shoresh for a special evening as we open the doors to our new home and mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter. 

About the Event

As Shoresh grows into a larger, more welcoming space, we're inviting our broader community to help bless it and bring it to life. This Chanukat HaBayit (Community Housewarming) is a chance to gather, reconnect and root ourselves in community, connection to the land, and the future we're building together.

Together, we'll honour Jewish wisdom, deepen our relationship with the natural world, and reaffirm our shared commitment to nuturing vibrant Jewish life. 

All proceeds from the evening will directly support Shoresh's programs, helping us continue to inspire and empower all ages through nature-based Jewish education.

Event Details

Event is from 6:30-9:00pm. Doors open at 6:00pm

Jewish Ancestral Skills Workshops: Local Jewish artisans, Carole and Brian Cantor, will be facililtating two workshops utilizing natural-fibre weaving and wood carving to create a community-crafted art installation for the Shoresh office. Plan to help with this project while learning about nature-based Jewish ancestral skills.

Shabbat Candle-Making: Love your Shoresh candles? Learn to make your own using local 100% beeswax. 

Shoresh Shuk: Love Shoresh products? Come to our live Shoresh Shuk to grab all your local Judaica.

A light dinner will be served.
